End of an era at JGC for husband and wife partnership

Today saw the end of an era at JGC for husband and wife partnership Davie and Maggie Sutherland as they retired after combined service of over 60 years in the business.

Colleagues and friends gathered at a lunch to celebrate and thank Davie and Maggie at the company’s Harpsdale offices where they were presented with local paintings of the area, Vouchers, cash and flowers to mark the occasion.

Davie worked for the business for almost 40 years culminating in his position as Workshop manager having seen the company grow from around 8 people to what it is today and Maggie for over 20 years in the role of cleaner at both the Harpsdale and Janetstown offices.

Much has changed for JGC over the years and stories were shared outlining their careers with much laughter on some of the tales told.

JGC directors Robbie Campbell and Stephen Sutherland were joined by Jock Campbell (Retired founder and chairman) and Christine Campbell (retired Company Secretary) to present the gifts.

JGC Directors wish to thank both Davie and Maggie for their exemplary service to the business over the years and wish them a long and happy retirement knowing that today is the start of a new chapter for them both.
