Job Title: Mechanical Chargehand & Foreman/Supervisor

Location: Janetstown/Harpsdale

Term: Permanent

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day mechanical operations on site, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely and according to project specifications. You will be responsible for supervising a team, providing hands-on assistance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the quality of mechanical work.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Supervise workforce/planning of works.
Allocation of resources to projects.
Accurate logging of resources to job cards.
Ensure that works are carried out safely following company Health and Safety Policy.
Ensure that works are carried out to programme.
Liaison with client’s project supervisor.
Ensure that documentation (test schedules etc) are completed timeously.
Carry out safety toolbox talks.
Carry out duties under client’s permit to work system.
Supervision and first level of Safety Control including Safety Inspections, formulating Weekly Safety Reports.
Assist with apprentice training.
Work in accordance with Environmental Management Systems
Recording all necessary project quality data.
Liaise with client/QA Engineer as required.
Ensuring suitably experienced personnel are allocated to projects as required.
Liaison with JGC quality engineer and technical assistant on all quality matters.

0715 – 1630 Mon – Thurs
0715 – 1215 Fri
