JGC form part of an alliance of companies set up to provide and implement solutions for the removal of liquid metal residues from redundant plant and pipework. To ensure the developed process is fit for purpose, a full scale test and trials facility was developed at the companies Janetstown estate.

The manufacture of the mechanical, electrical, controls and instrumentation works associated with the facility were carried out entirely in-house. Works included manufacture and certification of process pressure vessel, installation of Stainless Steel process pipework, manufacture, testing and commissioning of process skids, supply and installation of instrument and control systems, testing and commissioning of the complete system and maintenance/upkeep of the operational plant on an ongoing basis.

This contract is ongoing with onsite implementation and operation of similar plant as was developed in the trials facility. JGC are responsible for the supply, manufacture, installation and commissioning of the on-site plant including all tie ins to existing liquid metal circuits- where 'purge bag' methodology is required.
